Pedro Veloso and the Plant Organic Cafe Crew!
Well Port4lio Tasting 2010 has come to a close and I wanted to thank all our friends and customers who came out to support us here in San Francisco and down in Los Angeles. We had a great turnout and everyone seemed to be excited about all the new wines especially the 2009 whites from Portugal and Spain. Josep Puig the owner Viñedos de Ithaca joked he should also be selling eye glasses as his snazzy red Raybans almost got as many compliments as his Priorat wines!

Josep Puig and those red Raybans!
Plenty of wine geeks were in the house; we even spotted Randall Graham from Bonny Doon Vineyard. Randall is a big fan of eclectic grape varietals so it was very cool to have him stop bye and try our wines!

I also wanted to send a special thank you towards Soif Wine Bar in Santa Cruz, The Valley Wine Shack in Sonoma, Contigo Kitchen & Cava Bar and Terzo Restaurant right here in San Francisco for hosting us and our producers for the various tastings and dinners we had last week.

Also if you missed out on the tasting don’t fret, Luis, me and the rest of the crew will be out and about the next few weeks popping samples and doing more events this summer. Feel free to also give the office a call at 415-674-6958 or an email at vinosunico@comcast.net and we’ll put you in touch with your area sales rep.

The next few weeks we’ll be focusing on the new wines we showcased at the tasting and stay tuned for a pig roast or two or three later this summer! In late June, David Duman and I will be heading over to Portugal for a week long country wide trip!!! We’ll be taking lots of pictures and hopefully doing some live video blogging! Until then thanks for following!
