Back in September, wine, beer and spirits magazine and website Mutineer featured a recap of our Bodegas Riojanas Rioja tasting dinner at Rivera Restaurant in Downtown Los Angeles. Writer Arianna Armstrong wrote glowingly about the food and wine, noting especially the vibrancy of the fruit even in the oldest Gran Reservas poured that evening. Many thanks to Ms. Armstrong and Mutineer Magazine for the excellent article which you can read in its entirety here.

The wines proved very popular and we sold out many of our selections just as soon as they arrived. Fortunately we are receiving a new shipment of Riojas next week just in time to kick off November and another great Thanksgiving Holiday season. We will receiving among others Bodegas Riojanas 2001 Monte Real Gran Reserva, 1998 Monte Real Gran Reserva, and 1998 Viña Albina Gran Reserva as well as Viña Valoria’s 1973 Gran Reserva and their 1992 Gran Reserva. Our stock is very limited for these older Gran Reserva’s but you can contact your Vinos Unico sales rep and reserve your order before the wines get in.
We also will have inventory of the 2008 Puerta Vieja Crianza, 2004 Viña Albina Reserva and new 2010 Viña Albina Semidulce Blanco as well as the Bodegas Corral/Don Jacobo wines well into the fall which includes their classic 1995 Don Jacobo Gran Reserva, but don’t wait too long as these wines tend to disappear quickly.
